With the Club’s 100th season well underway, it is our great pleasure to announce that the centenary celebrations will culminate with a black tie* dinner on Saturday 6th July 2024.

*Woodford blazers are also permitted attire for gentlemen (and ladies, of course!)

The event will be held in a marquee at Highams and will be open to all Club members and their guests.

Doors (by which I mean the bar!) will open at 6pm with a view to sitting down for dinner at 7.30pm. The cost is, somewhat fittingly, £100 per head.

On what promises to be a fantastic evening of celebration and reunion, we are delighted to announce that the event will be hosted by Ben Shephard (star of Tipping Point and Breakfast TV) and we have Wayne Barnes – relatively fresh from his appearance in the recent Rugby World Cup Final – as our guest speaker. In addition to Ben and Wayne, we expect to welcome many old and familiar faces as well as current players, family / social members and their friends.

We will also have a team of close-up magicians to amaze and entertain you both before the dinner starts and in-between courses. In addition, there will be a live band – the aptly named Party Starters – performing in the clubhouse after the dinner and speeches have concluded.

The event is proving extremely popular and we sold out of our original allocation of 400 tickets at the end of last week. Over the weekend, however, we have managed to secure a slightly larger marquee and are delighted to announce the sale of a further 50 tickets. These will be available from midday on Monday 8th April.
